Growing businesses do not design how they work. They accumulate it.
C8 Studio is a business design studio. We design how a business gets customers, how it runs, and how the two connect.
One business. One system.
C8 Studio may be for you if this looks familiar.
- The site was built once and never revisited.
- The workflow grew by addition, one exception at a time.
- Tools were bought individually, each solving one problem and creating two handoffs.
- Information lives in someone's head, someone's inbox, and three spreadsheets that disagree.
Expensive to operate, hard to delegate, impossible to scale without hiring around it.
Nobody decided on any of it. It arrived.
One diagnosis. Then only what it justifies.
This is for an established business, owner-led, where something visibly is not working.
You receive a written report: the agreed scope, the findings ranked, what remains unknown, and what the evidence justifies doing next.
Price follows the diagnosis: its breadth, its depth, the access it needs. Never the value of what might get built.
Sometimes the diagnosis concludes that nothing should be built yet. That is a result.
C8 Diagnostic C8 examines a defined part of the business, separates evidence from inference, and determines the smallest justified intervention.
- A C8 Diagnostic may examine a public acquisition and customer journey, a workflow, how information moves, a reporting system, or an operational process.
- The scope is stated in the engagement. There is no complete version and no smaller version — the name does not change with the scope.
Implementation If the diagnosis justifies intervention, C8 scopes it from the findings.
- A website, a workflow redesign, an internal system — or some combination of them.
- These are possible outputs, not a catalogue a client is asked to choose from before anyone has diagnosed anything.
- Sometimes the diagnosis concludes that nothing should be built yet. That is a result.
Requires a completed C8 Diagnostic.
C8 examines how the relevant part of the business actually works.
| Typical web agency model | Typical consulting model | C8 Studio | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What gets examined | The site | The org chart and the process | How the relevant part of the business actually works |
| What gets delivered | Pages | A recommendation | A diagnosis, then the intervention it justifies |
| Ownership | Often vendor-hosted | Nothing to own | The client keeps control of the work, the accounts, the data and the deliverables |
| Scope of the fix | Usually acquisition | Usually operations | Acquisition, operations, or the connection between them |
| Who does the work | Often an account manager and a delivery team | Often sold by a partner, delivered by a team | The founder |
| Longevity | Often ends at launch | Often ends with the recommendation | Designed to become part of how the business works |
- The homepage's pricing section listed six services, their prices and a booking link for each, and was rendered with visibility: hidden.
- Reproduced independently at phone and desktop widths, and it persisted after scrolling. The prices and links were in the markup, neither visible nor usable on screen.
- A visitor reaching that section could not see the services, compare prices, or follow a booking link: the purchasing path was unavailable.
- Remove the hidden-visibility setting. One style change, not a redesign.
- Whether the hidden state was intentional or a leftover, and whether another route reached those pages.
One finding about a prospect C8 approached, never a client. The fix was never implemented; no result is claimed.
Every finding is stated as fact, cost, and fix.
Each finding states what can be established, what it costs, and what response the evidence justifies.
Every implementation starts with a diagnosis.
We design better ways for businesses to work.
-
Growth and go-to-market
Establish where demand actually comes from, and design how the business goes after it.
-
Sales, CRM and marketing operations
Connect how the business finds demand to how it converts and keeps it, so the handoffs stop losing information.
-
Processes, workflows and operating systems
Redesign how work moves through the business so quality and speed stop depending on who happens to be doing it.
-
Data, reporting and BI
Build the data foundation and reporting that make the business visible to itself.
-
Automation, technology and practical AI
Design technology that fits the business and automate only what has first been made observable.
-
Customer experience and service operations
Design what the customer actually experiences, and the service operation that has to deliver it.
The goal is not a business that feels automated. It is one that feels ordinary.
Eventually the change stops feeling like a project.
"This is just how we work now."
START WITH A SCOPING CALL.
- The call is with the founder.
- The call is free and commits nothing.
- The call settles what would be examined, what it would cost, and when.
- Scope is agreed in writing before work begins, and nothing unapproved is ever invoiced.
